ABOUT THE ARABIC LANGUAGE IN QATAR

The arabic language in Qatar is known as peninsular Arabic. Peninsular Arabic are the varieties of Arabic spoken throughout the Arabian Peninsula. This includes the countries of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Southern Iraq, Southern Iran and the tribes of Jordan (the native Jordanians). The modern dialects spoken in the Arabian Peninsula are closer to Classical Arabic than elsewhere. Some of the local dialects have retained many archaic features lost in other dialects, such as the conservation of nunation for indeterminate nouns. They retain most Classical syntax and vocabulary but still have some differences from Classical Arabic like the other dialects.

ABOUT THE 'I AM' PROJECT

I AM is a project created by the Free Spirit FoundationThrough the ‘I AM’ project, we amplify the voice of nature in all the world languages. We also preserve the endangered languages and cultures by revealing their beauty. People across the globe translate, read and record the same message (the voice of nature : the forest, the ocean, the earth, the sky and the animals) in their native dialect.

ABOUT THE ARABIC VOICE

My name is Eiman. I am a Qatari, born and raised in the desert and I can confirm that we love our camels just like we do with our children, if not more. I work as a process engineer by day and a personal stylist by night. So you can guess that one of my favorite hobbies is shopping, and I often opt for sustainable, eco friendly and labor friendly businesses.
In addition to that, I love to do many kinds of sports outside the gym such as water sports and skydiving.
